Description

Across the ancient plains of East Africa, life moves in rhythm with the seasons. Millions of wildebeest and zebra surge across the savannah, guided by instinct older than memory. This journey follows their path through the golden landscapes of northern Tanzania and southern Kenya — a route where predators wait in the shadows and rivers become the stage for nature’s most dramatic crossings.
From baobab forests to endless grasslands, from the elephant valleys of Tarangire National Park to the migration corridors of Serengeti National Park and the legendary plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve, this is one of the greatest wildlife journeys left on Earth.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Arusha

Your safari begins with arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, beneath the distant silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro. A private transfer leads through coffee estates and jacaranda-lined roads to your lodge in Arusha.
This quiet highland town, resting at the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, offers a gentle introduction to the rhythm of East Africa. The evening is relaxed — a moment to breathe in the cool air of the foothills and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 - The Baobab Kingdom of Tarangire

After breakfast the journey begins southward toward the vast landscapes of Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is a land shaped by elephants and ancient baobab trees. During the dry season, thousands of animals gather along the Tarangire River — giraffes browsing the acacias, buffalo moving in great herds, and lions resting in the shade of the massive baobabs.
Your first game drive unfolds slowly through this dramatic wilderness before arriving at your lodge overlooking the savannah.

Day 3 - Into the Great Rift Valley

The road turns north-west toward the legendary plains of Serengeti National Park.
The journey passes through the volcanic highlands surrounding Ngorongoro Crater where Maasai villages dot the hills and wildlife grazes freely across the open grasslands.
By afternoon the Serengeti horizon opens before you — endless plains stretching beneath a vast African sky. Evening game drives introduce the first predators of the savannah.

Day 4 - The Central Serengeti

Dawn breaks across the Serengeti plains, where golden grass moves gently in the morning wind.
Game drives explore the predator-rich heart of the ecosystem. Lions rest beneath umbrella acacias while cheetahs scan the plains from termite mounds. Hyenas patrol the landscape and herds of antelope drift across the horizon.
Few places on Earth offer such raw wildlife abundance.

Day 5 - Following the Great Migration

Today the search turns toward the migrating herds themselves.
Guides track the seasonal movement of the Great Migration — an immense river of life flowing across the Serengeti. Columns of wildebeest stretch for kilometres across the plains while zebras and gazelles move alongside them.
Predators follow closely, creating a landscape filled with tension and movement.

Day 6 - Toward the Northern Serengeti

The journey continues north through increasingly remote wilderness.
During migration months, the northern reaches of Serengeti National Park become the gathering point for immense wildlife concentrations. Rivers cut through rolling grasslands and predators patrol the corridors where herds must pass.
Your lodge offers sweeping views across one of Africa’s most dramatic safari landscapes.

Day 7 - Across the Border to the Maasai Mara

A scenic bush flight lifts above the Serengeti plains before crossing the invisible frontier into Kenya.
Below, the savannah continues uninterrupted into Maasai Mara National Reserve — the northern extension of the same vast ecosystem.
Afternoon game drives reveal rolling hills, scattered acacia trees, and wildlife-rich plains that have become synonymous with the African safari.

Day 8 - The Mara River

Today focuses on one of the most dramatic locations in the migration story: the Mara River.
Here crocodiles lie silently in dark water while thousands of wildebeest gather nervously along the banks. When instinct finally overcomes fear, the herds plunge into the river in a chaotic surge of hooves and splashing water.
It is one of the most powerful wildlife spectacles in the natural world.

Day 9 - Balloon Safari at Dawn

Before sunrise, a hot-air balloon rises gently above the plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve.
From the air the savannah unfolds like a living tapestry — elephants walking through morning mist, giraffes casting long shadows, and herds drifting across golden grasslands.
After landing, a champagne breakfast awaits in the bush before the final afternoon safari.
